MATC auxiliary lot usually has open spaces

The Capital Times, February 3, 2010

Dear Editor: I couldn’t help but notice that the article in the Cap Times about parking at MATC made no reference to the existing additional parking lot off Wright Street, about a block south of Anderson Street. This lot is usually only 10 percent to 50 percent full.

People just don’t bother to drive over there to park. It would be quicker to park there and have a slightly longer walk than to wait around for a spot to open up in the main parking lot. About mid-day recently, I counted 18 cars in the additional parking lot, which can hold over 300 cars. Why pay for another parking lot on the far side of Anderson street when there already is one nearby that very few people use?
